The Annual Disaster Review of 2012 registered 357 natural disasters, resulting in the deaths of 9,655 people and 124.5 million victims worldwide. The top five countries to be affected by natural disasters last year were China, the USA, Philippines, India and Indonesia. For man-made disasters, the top three were Japan, the Philippines and the USA.
