“International Innovation” has recently published an edition called ‘Parasites of poverty: how international research is tackling the global threat of tropical disease’.

This special issue, focusing on malaria and tropical diseases in the developing world, includes a round-up of research projects and looks at on the ongoing initiatives targeted at fighting malaria. The publication also includes a post-event feature on the 6th Multilateral Initiative on Malaria (MIM) Pan-African Conference. The event took place in October 2013 in South Africa and was the world’s largest gathering of malaria experts. Themed ‘Moving Towards Malaria Elimination: Investing in Research and Control’, the forum brought leading scientists together to share research on preventing, controlling and eradicating malaria.
