Southern African Development Community (SADC), March 2014

37 pp. 436 kB:

Miners in Southern Africa have a greater incident of Tuberculosis (TB) than any other working population with the incident rate of 2,500-3,000 per 100,000 individual are three times more at risk of contracting TB than the general population. This framework aims to give mineworkers and their communities the confidence that wherever they seek treatment in the sub-region, their physicians will prescribe the same interventions and will follow the same set of guidelines for disease management.
