Research has shown that participation in international health projects can and does provide opportunities for professional development in terms of new knowledge, skills and behaviours which are learned when working in challenging, resource-poor environments. Within the National Health Service (NHS), to date, it has proved difficult to provide evidence in a format which is helpful to employers. This toolkit has been developed to support the collection of such evidence.
