Glob Health Action 2016, 9:
In light of the proposed integrated nature of the post-2015 sustainable development agenda, including its goal 10, covering the reduction of inequalities within countries, the World Health Organization is promoting this Special Issue to look at monitoring health determinants with an equity focus. The Special Issue examines the importance of reducing social inequalities for advancing the health goal of attaining healthy life for all at all ages. It also outlines the implications of this for intersectoral governance for health. Papers in the Special Issue describe country analyses, measurement and monitoring of the determinants of health, health equity and service coverage, using social determinants, gender equality and human rights lenses.
