The publication presents a complete analysis of the resources available for health in 184 countries, with a particular focus on development assistance for health (DAH). The amount of resources available to spend on health, and the degree to which it is paid in advance and pooled across diverse groups, impacts overall access to and quality of care. Many global health advocates and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) endorse the concept of universal health coverage (UHC) – that all people should have reliable, good-quality health care without the risk of financial hardship.
